About me

I'm Jakobien van der Weijden, I am Dutch and live in Amsterdam. I am a microdosing educator and psychedelic guide since 2017.

Throughout my twenties, I thought I was living my purpose: I had a Journalism degree, I travelled lots, got married, and found myself working alongside smart people who were building the internet. On the inside however, I deeply struggled to accept myself. I wasn't being authentic, and I got literally burnt out from trying to please everyone else except for me. Through psychedelic teachers such as truffles, mushrooms, ayahuasca, and other sacred earth medicines, I discovered less rigid ways of thinking and started living a life that prioritizes connection, presence and quality in relationships—including the ones with myself and with our Earth.

In 2017 I cofounded Microdosing Institute (although we've recently parted ways) and I got certified as a holistic coach and psychosocial practitoner.

I'm currently working towards my certification in psychotraumatology. Beyond official certifications, I feel priviledged to have been learning from wisdom keepers and teachers who dedicate themselves to keeping important teachings from shamanic, buddhist, and sufi traditions alive.

I’ve (co-)facilitated journeys for 120+ individuals and guided 200+ people on their intentional microdosing trajectories. In my work, I incorporate Western counselling methods such as resources building, parts work / Voice Dialogue, transpersonal psychology, co-active coaching and art therapy.

I have a strong network of psychedelic providers, spiritual caretakers, doctors, therapists, and researchers that I rely on to further establish best practices, get supervision and support, and offer each client the best possible care.

What psychedelics taught me

We always have access our inner wisdom and guidance. It speaks to us in many different languages. This sums up the teachings I'm being given, and still integrate.

Even though I always enjoyed travelling and exploring, deep inside I was disconnected and fearful for a long time. Sacred earth medicines helped me experience interconnectedness with others, Mother Earth and the universal powers, and let go of many limiting beliefs I used to have. Now, it is my intention to embrace all aspects of life ever more fully.

Vision

As your guide, I believe in honest partnership over false promises. I won't tell you which substance is "best" or how your experience "should" unfold. Every human has access to their inner healing intelligence and this is what will lead the way on the path of freedom, love and infinite wisdom.

The path of growth is not linear but cyclical—just as anything in nature we evolve in cycles. From the inside out. When we work together, I trust that at every step, both you and I are exactly where we need to be.
